If you’re using Slack to communicate with your team or customers, you can install the Dragonboat App for Slack to keep your team updated at every stage.
Integrating Dragonboat and Slack allows you to:
- Create and push requests or feedback from Slack to Dragonboat.

Set up integration between Dragonboat and Slack
- You’ll only need to create the integration one time per account.
- Slack integration needs to start from your Dragonboat account.
- Dragonboat Admin permission required.
Only the Slack Admin (or selected users/ groups based on Slack App management permission) can initiate Slack connection from the Dragonboat Integration page.
- Step One: Create the integration from Dragonboat Settings> Integrations> and select Slack.
- Step Two: Choose the Slack workspace you want to connect and choose “Allow”.
- Step Three: specify what additional / optional fields you'd like to include in the Slack request form. By default, 2 fields - Title and Details - are required.
- If you are unable to connect Dragonboat with Slack, review your Slack App Management Settings or contact your Slack admin.
Creating Request/ Share feedback Using "/dragonboat" Command in Slack
Once the integration is established, a Slack user can now create requests.

Step One: In Slack, trigger “/dragonboat” to create the request.
- Step Two: Fill in the form fields and click Create Request to submit.
The request will be created in Dragonboat. A requester user will be created in Dragonboat if the requester does not already exist in Dragonboat.
Viewing Confirmation from Dragonboat to Slack
A confirmation message with a link to the request will be sent back to the chosen channel. You can click the request link from the confirmation to open the request.
Upon clicking the link, a new tab opens and the submitted item appears.
