Dragonboat Integration for Slack

Dragonboat + Slacks enables seamless collaboration and visibility across both apps - once you install Dragonboat App on your Slack, you may achieve

  1. From Slack: 
    1. Create request using form from Slack 
    2. Bulk create requests or roadmap items from Slack using Dragonboat AI. 
    3. Access Dragonboat AI Assistant by use @dragonboat AI e.g. 
      • copy and paste info to create request, portfolio items in bulk
      • search for product operating model objects, e.g. find open request for customer x, find a view create by x for roadmap update
      • analyze trade offs, and more all its capabilities
  2. From Dragonboat 
    1. Share comments and push notifications from Dragonboat to Slack
    2. Share views and updates from Dragonboat to Slack  

Slack user must exist in Dragonboat, and have permission, to perform the respective actions.

Set up integration between Dragonboat and Slack

  • You’ll only need to create the integration one time per account.
  • Dragonboat integration for Slack needs to start from your Dragonboat account.
  • Dragonboat Admin permission required.

Only the Slack Admin (or selected users/ groups based on Slack App management permission) can initiate Slack connection from the Dragonboat Integration page.

  • Step One: Create the integration from Dragonboat Settings > Integrations > Slack
  • Step Two: Choose the Slack workspace you want to connect and choose “Allow”.

  • Step Three: specify what additional / optional fields you'd like to include in the Slack request form. By default, 2 fields - Title and Details - are required. Drag the field to arrange the order of these fields

 

  • If you are unable to connect Dragonboat with Slack, review your Slack App Management Settings or contact your Slack admin.
