How to - Operational Roadmap Update Using List

Operational roadmap or release update needs to provide more details. The List module offers a great way to communicate lots of information in an easy to digest way.

Here are a few examples

Ops review/ Roadmap update for executives and business teams

Usually they'd like to know key initiatives, their health, and when they will be available.

You may create a filter to select high priority/ key initiatives, and choose fields e.g. health, timeframe, roadmap, owner, and a short status summary.  Group your report by Timeframe.

For Release update - more progress and dates focused

Release update is often used by product and tech leaders to review the health of quarter or release or a set timeframe.

Filter ideas/ epics by timeframe, group by roadmap, and display key info e.g. heath, progress, status, and in this example, we also included target end date, predicted end date, and a calculated variance using the Formula custom field.

For portfolio review - more levels of hierarchy

Some operations review starts are higher level but need to drill down to details if / when needed.

To create this view, use the Display All Levels option. Select fields most relevant to your audience, e.g. Health, Status Summary, and Timeframe.
