Dragonboat is integrated with Jira via the Jira oAuth API. You may see more detailed Jira documentation here.
After the Dragonboat account is linked with the Jira instance, each Dragonboat user still needs to confirm their connection between their Dragonboat user with their Jira user. So all actions can be authenticated correctly between the 2 systems.
The user access within Jira will be determined by the user's Jira access level. If this user can't map his or her Jira account with Dragonboat user account, they will not have the ability to perform any of the following:
1. Import epics via JQL - user can specify what EPICs and what fields to import from Jira to Dragonboat
2. Field level sync - user can specify what fields to map / sync between Jira and Dragonboat
3. Create Jira - user can specify what Jira project to create an EPIC passing info from Dragonboat to Jira
3. Link Jira - user can specify the Jira issue to be connected with (including syncing content) a Dragonboat idea
Note: Dragonboat does not support creating a new Jira project, new workflow, new status, new version, or new users from Dragonboat to Jira.
